Vindelälven-Juhttátahkka is a model area for sustainable development. Here we work together to develop, preserve and support good initiatives for everyone who live and work in the area, for visitors and for future generations.
We create benefits by running or financing different types of projects, and by collaborating with people and organizations that also work for sustainable development in the area, in Sweden and in other parts of the world. We highlight and communicate good initiatives that promote sustainable development in the area – including those in which the biosphere organization is not directly involved.
A large part of the activities in Vindelälven-Juhttátahkka are made possible through development projects. These are projects run by the biosphere organization itself or projects run by an individual, organizations or universities.
If you have a project idea that you think fits within the Vindelälven- Juhttátahkka biosphere reserve – send your idea to the biosphere office (email@example.com). We might be able to help you with funding or to get in contact with someone within our network.
In order for a project to be granted, it must be in line with the biosphere reserve’s vision, goals, business idea and values. If the board approves your project, the biosphere reserve logo and name will be used in information and marketing materials. All approved projects must send a report of completed projects to the biosphere office (firstname.lastname@example.org) no later than three months after the end of the project.
